The next 7-8 months in the PNW are gonna be mostly gray and gloomy, but this week the weather forecast is sunny and low 60′s–you do not understand the full gloriousness of forecasts with sunshine unless you live here.
I moved to the Pacific Northwest about 5 years ago in the month of February; everything everyone wore was literally 50 shades of gray.
I’m not super adventurous with color myself; I prefer earthy neutrals. But mint green was all the rage this summer, so I decided to make these pants work this fall too.
I bought these rain boots about 2 years ago because they were lined and keep my feet really warm in the winter. Black riding boots would definitely look better, but lets get real…rain boots are a must in the PNW.
Can we talk for just a minute about posing by yourself in front of the camera? Awkward. But I’m really glad I’m doing it. It’s forcing me outside of my comfort zone and also helping me realize what angles are best–we have family photos scheduled at the end of the month so I’m realizing I definitely have a good and not so good side!
Another thing…I’m trying to figure out how to shoot in manual mode…hence the overexposed, not fully focused photos. Anyone have a good tutorial they’d recommend?
