26 Weeks

26 Weeks Pregnant

This was the best pic I could snap–blurry, with a dirty mirror, and of course my entourage, Parker and the dog!  This pic makes me smile though…this is reality.  The dog or my daughter is constantly at my ankles, and I’m forever tripping over one of them.  Which might turn serious as my balance is starting to tip due to my enormous belly.

I can feel the third trimester creeping up on me as my back and knees start to ache a little more and my heartburn begins the minute something goes in my mouth in the morning.  I treated myself to a prenatal massage this week and it was pretty heavenly.  I really wish my insurance covered chiropractic and massage; I believe they make such a significant difference in our well being.

I have a confession.  I’ve been eating ice cream like there is a dairy shortage.  I literally can’t remember the last day I didn’t have ice cream.  I told my husband 2 days ago I’m going to see how long I can go without it–so today at the grocery store I bought 4 different types of super sugary chocolate cereal instead.  That’s better right?

Lots of people have been asking me about baby girls name.  I thought we were pretty settled on one, but this week my husband isn’t so sure.  I’m still set on it…it’s pretty much been my top pick since finding out we were having a girl. Hopefully he changes his mind?!

My 26 week comparison with Parker.

I love that picture! Parker with that smile :)

Glad you got that prenatal massage!
    Yum, ice cream. I don’t think it’s a problem ;)

Hope he changes his mind especially since you’re set on it. I mean, he agreed before so he can’t change his mind now, right? LOL.

So glad to hear I’m not the only one that can’t seem to stray from sweets during pregnancy right now. I’ve been feeling so guilty lately after all the easter desserts/candy I’ve been gorging on thinking I need to be better about eating right… and then I eat a handful of jellybeans!

All these beautiful pregnant ladies in The Wiegands link up this week! I’m two weeks away from my due date and can so relate to the sweet cravings…tonight’s appetizer before dinner was 2 and a half fresh chocolate chip cookies which is doubly terrible because I’m g-free and I caved! Girl names were always the easiest for my husband and I and since this one’s a boy we’re still not in agreement. Guess we’d better hurry up on that… :)
